Planning to become a Surgeon? Think Again

A Livemint report shows that 350 artificial intelligence (AI) researchers have conducted a survey to find that artificial intelligence will take over the job of a surgeon by 2053. The survey also shows that AI would perform better at translating languages than humans by 2024 and even surpass humans in working at retail sector by 2031.

Gone are the days when human spirits were our go-to thought, we don’t call our siblings to hand us over the TV remote. We command Alexa to do it for us. There was nothing as bone replacement; the best we had for damaged bone was iron/ steel supports. Now we have 3d printing giving us a bone replacement faster than a skin scar heals. In the current world we are creative minds not pushing ahead, but leading into future. Designers, Developers, Machine Learning engineers and Data Scientists are the job profiles that are receiving popularity now. Humans have to put more and more endeavours to outshine artificial intelligence to become successful in 21st century.

René Laennec, was a top-notch pioneered physician of his time. He was known to the world for inventing stethoscope. He wasn’t comfortable in resting his head on people’s chest to check their heartbeats. This was his need. Many decades down the line, we got electronics to come into our lives. In the current world, you don’t even need a physician for knowing your heartbeats; your watch tells you that.
Whether it’s about our lifestyle or its consequences, we have come a long way. We are creating possibilities but all this poses serious threats towards reputable jobs like that of a surgeon. Robots currently do the most complex surgeries for us, a few decades later they will do everything and humans will have to do something better than that. It has always been this way.

Most of the education we are having right now wouldn’t be useful the day we end schools. It’s best to be ready for the future. It is estimated that 65% of children studying in primary schools on this date have to prepare for jobs that have not been invented yet. One planning to be a surgeon might not get the chance to do it as there will be robots to do the same job with outstanding precision and accuracy. The same person can plan to be a biotech engineer and support his skills for the bigger achievements of the complex surgeries by creating even more capable and learned robots.

The world is changing and it has always been this way, yet the future prepared people have always made the best out of everything. Our vision to become among the best schools in Faridabad and eventually, all across India can be fulfilled only when we make our students future ready, we research intensively to nurture the future leaders of this country.
